Penbank Campus construction of a Year 5 – 6 complex
Clever use of steel cladding and detailing provides a dynamic solution to the redevelopment of the Stonnington Animal Pound. Sited between freeway, parkland and council depot the project presented challenges for access, overcome by smart project management.
Following a long design process, 4Dimensions were engaged by Securency International to construct a complete R&D facility including 650m2 of office and laboratories over two levels, integrated with a 1150m2 printing warehouse housing equipment designed to mirror the full production of polymer bank notes.
The relationship with Ruyton Girls’ School continued in 2011 with the redevelopment of the two-storey junior school building. The new section was rebuilt with classrooms, new reception, staff room, amenities and specialist areas for music, art and science.
Under a heritage overlay, works to extend and renovate the Early Learning Centre at Ruyton Girls’ School included sourcing & blending bricks and roof tiles to match the existing building and the careful workmanship of our trades.
Construction was staged at the McConnell Dowell site in Laverton to allow continued use of the site.
A beige Parks Victoria visitor’s building at Jells Park in Wheelers Hill was extended by 4Dimensions in 2006 to create a functional and attractive space on a limited budget.
The restoration and redevelopment of the former St Vincent de Paul Boys Orphanage in South Melbourne took place over 28 months and two stages.
